Sanlorenzo has unveiled its largest and most ambitious vessel to date, the flagship 74Steel, at its La Spezia shipyard.
This 74-metre superyacht represents a pivotal evolution in Sanlorenzo’s steel and aluminium range, showcasing a synthesis of bold architecture, advanced technology, and uncompromising refinement. Designed to embody the essence of understated elegance and functional luxury, the 74Steel marks a new milestone for the Italian builder’s portfolio.

Each of the three hulls already sold—and a fourth currently in discussion—offers highly bespoke customisation. Owners collaborate closely with Sanlorenzo to tailor interior layouts, bow configurations, and finishes, all founded on a trusted technical platform adaptable to a range of performance and propulsion options. The first hull features a pioneering diesel-electric propulsion system developed jointly with Siemens Energy, combining six variable-speed generators with twin Schottel E-Pods and a powerful battery bank, delivering efficient power management and heightened spatial freedom in interior design.

The yacht’s exterior, crafted by Zuccon International Project, boasts distinct sinuous lines paired with a vertical bow, presenting a strong yet serene profile on the water. Inside, the interiors by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini strike a balance between contemporary sophistication and warm materials, featuring sculpted furniture, matte wood, and luxurious marble accents.

Accommodation is designed for privacy and comfort, with a 300-square-metre owner’s deck comprising a forward-facing suite, private terrace, and exclusive dining spaces. Guest quarters include a full-beam VIP suite and generous staterooms on the main deck, while the lower deck is dedicated to crew efficiency and comfort.

Noteworthy amenities include expansive, light-filled salons, a comprehensive wellness area with spa facilities, a beach club that opens directly to the sea, and innovative features such as a hydroponic cultivation room. Multiple outdoor decks provide spaces for relaxation and socialising, from a hot tub and firepit on the sundeck to an aft glass-bottom pool illuminating the beach club below.

By prioritising refined sophistication over ostentation, the 74Steel embodies Sanlorenzo’s philosophy: a harmonious blend of strength, serenity, and considered luxury that redefines scale without excess. This flagship not only signals the shipyard’s current capabilities but establishes a new benchmark for contemporary superyacht design and custom craftsmanship.
