Bilgin Yachts has celebrated the launch of the first 52-metre Bilgin 170, Tamasha, from its Istanbul facility, marking a landmark moment for the shipyard as it expands its line of luxury superyachts. Following the debut of the 45.95-metre Camila at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, Tamasha embodies Bilgin’s commitment to combining robust maritime engineering with bespoke lifestyle design.
Designed in close collaboration with her owner, Tamasha merges the intimacy of a personal statement with the functionality of a social hub. Her distinctive light brown hull—a first for the yard—creates a warm, organic relationship with the sea, while her interior volumes are expansive, open, and flooded with natural light. The exterior and naval architecture were conceived by Unique Yacht Design, whose approach balances a bold, masculine profile with refined contemporary detailing. Hot Lab’s interior design complements this vision, crafting spaces that are both sophisticated and approachable.
Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Tamasha demonstrates Bilgin’s technical expertise. Propulsion is provided by twin Caterpillar engines, delivering a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 16 knots, ensuring a smooth and reliable performance across diverse cruising grounds.
Speaking at the launch, Bilgin Yachts Marketing Director Tuğba Şengün Topgül reflected on the milestone: “To see Tamasha touch the water with such grace and grandeur was a testament to the dedication of our entire team. This was more than a launch—it was the start of her story.” Commercial Director Berkay Yılmaz also emphasised the collaborative effort behind the project, noting the contribution of every department in achieving a flawless result.
The launch of Tamasha coincides with an active production line at Bilgin Yachts, which currently includes six hulls in various stages, among them a new 86-metre yacht, an 80-metre project, and four 53-metre units. The owner’s representative, Nikolay Kondratiev, highlighted the exemplary cooperation: “The yard’s proficiency, corporate culture, and management reliability allowed us to deliver the finest yacht Bilgin has produced on their fifty-metre platform.”
As the flagship of the Bilgin 170 series, Tamasha sets a benchmark for contemporary superyacht design—merging performance, elegance, and bespoke craftsmanship in a vessel ready to define her owner’s next chapter at sea.
