Industry leaders evaluate peer-nominated initiatives, setting the stage for recognition at FLIBS 2025
The judging phase for the 2025 Superyacht Honours has wrapped in Amsterdam, marking a pivotal milestone for the industry’s only peer-reviewed accolades. The panel convened to assess 238 nominations and refine the shortlist to just 18 nominees. Their unanimous decisions highlight not just exceptional vessels, but individuals and organisations driving sustainability, innovation, and social impact within yachting.
Chaired by a distinguished jury—including figures like Feadship’s Farouk Nefzi, designer Espen Øino, Merijn de Waard of Superyacht Times, and Jeroen Sirag of Royal Huisman—the evaluation process took place at Amsterdam’s prestigious Royale Industrieele Groote Club. Also in attendance were external voices such as Ink Creative’s Jonny Clark and Untold Stories’ Nicola Chilton, reflecting the Honours’ commitment to broader industry perspectives.
The judging criteria went beyond design excellence. It emphasized measurable professional contributions, community engagement, philanthropic initiatives, and leadership ethics. Final selections were reached through rigorous deliberation, with all awards—including the coveted Legacy, Voyager, and Judges’ Special accolades—decided unanimously.
Winners will be revealed on October 28, 2025, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, following a high-profile ceremony hosted by The Superyacht Life Foundation in partnership with Pier 66 and FLIBS. It’s a moment that reaffirms yachting’s potential to contribute meaningfully beyond the waterline.
In a world often mesmerised by metal and teak, the 2025 Superyacht Honours remind us that true excellence is defined by purpose, impact, and integrity.
